Ted Bundy and George Bush. Seperated at birth?

The research of Dr. Hervey Cleckley and Dr. Robert Hare exploring the personality and character traits of psychopaths, when applied to George Bush, shows that Bush fits exactly the profile they developed for the psychopath. Demographis show that Republicanism is much worse than psychopathy.

An excerpt from the book Blood Relations, by Eric Konigsberg, about his great-uncle Harold, a convicted murder:

Hervey Cleckley in his book, The Mask of Sanity, describes the psychopath as a certain type of cruel manipulator whose harmful actions are accompanied by an absence of delusion. The psychopath, he wrote, "does not hear voices. In theory, he can foresee the consequences of injudicious or antisocial acts." A psychopath is a person who knows full well the difference between right and wrong and yet, without compunction, chooses to do wrong. Checkley cited the protagonist of The Incredible Charlie Carewe, a novel by Mary Astor, as a quintessential psychopath. "Charlie is a genius in reverse with dangerous charm. Sisters lie for him, parents defend him, friends obey him. While calmly and casually, Charlie Carewe literally gets away with murder."

George Bush has calmly, casually and gleefully murdered a million innocent Iraqis. So far, he's gotten away with it.

Robert Hare got first hand experience with psychopaths while working at a prison near Vancouver. Hare describes one inmate as having a winning personality, and he used it to test the limits of what Hare would do on his behalf. He lied endlessly, lazily, about everything, and it disturbed him not a whit whenever something in his file contradicted one of his lies.

Reid Meloy, a forensic psychologist at the University of California, San Diego, says of the psychopath, "Typically the way a person like this maintains an inflated view of the self is by devaluing other people, taking advantage of them. If you look at the trail of a psychopath, you will see it littered with wounded, angry people."

Yes, better than 70% of the people in the United States alone, not counting more than 20 million people in Iraq and an untold number in the rest of the world are wounded and angry.

George Bush uses a derogatory nickname for just about everyone around him. Turdblossom. He also uses the diminutive to belittle. Brownie for a grown man.

Hare developed a system of identification for psychopaths that includes various personality and character traits:

Glibness/superficial charm, grandiose sense of self-worth, pathological lying, cunning/manipulative, lack of remorse or guilt, shallow affect, callous/lack of empathy, failure to accept responsibility for own actions, parasitic lifestyle, lack of realistic, long-term goals, irresponsibility, criminal versatility.

I don't have to list examples of Bush's actions and behavior for you to match them up with the above list, but let's take one, failure to accept responsibility for own actions. When Bush was asked if he had ever made any mistakes, he replied that he couldn't think of any. That's just one. Another is parasitic lifestyle. Bush has lived off of relatives, friends and the government all of his life. He now lives in government provided housing and receives government provided funds to live on. Perfect examples. The rest fit just as well.

Some more character traits of the psychopath that fit George Bush perfectly:

Uses defense mechanism of projection, blaming others for own faults, impervious to anxiety, depression, unremorseful, lack of self insight, no self humor, can't stand to be the butt of jokes, uses neologisms, makes up strange new words, lack of probity, courtesy, doesn't tolerate society's niceties or obligations, does not learn from mistakes, tends to think in concrete black or white terms.

That last one is the same as Bush's "You're either with us or you're against us." Another perfect example.

From the inordinately high number of Republicans who exhibit some or all of these psychopathic traits, such as Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, Rove, Addington, Cheney, Rice, Wolfowitz, Pearle and Feith, to name just a few, and those such as Cunningham, Abramoff and others who are in prison for their psychopathic acts, we would have to think that either psychopaths naturally became Republicans or that Republicans, for some abnormal reason, admire and elevate psychopathic behavior as the highest ideal to be emulated.

Comment: It looks like there are indeed people who in many cases align with Republican (right wing) ideology, and who are more susceptible to the pathological influence.

From Environment of Evil:

Dr Bob Altemeyer, Associate Professor at the University of Manitoba, has spent much of his career researching the personality profile of what he calls Right Wing Authoritarians. He has published an overview of his research called The Authoritarians.

It offers an insight into that percentage of the population that is easily swayed by the pathological types. Unfortunately, Altemeyer has not factored in the existence of psychopathy and pathocracy as important realities in society, so while he can help explain the functioning of the system, he is incapable of either explaining its origins or arriving at a solution.

Authoritarian Personality as described by Theodor W. Adorno

Adorno identified the authoritarian personality type as having these characteristics.

The authoritarian personality does not want to give orders, their personality type wants to take orders. People with this type of personality seek conformity, security, stability. They become anxious and insecure when events or circumstances upset their previously existing world view. They are very intolerant of any divergence from what they consider to be the normal (which is usually conceptualized in terms of their religion, race, history, nationality, culture, language, etc.) They tend to be very superstitious and lend credence to folktales or interpretations of history that fit their preexisting definitions of reality (thus the Founding Fathers of the US are conceptualized of as supporters of white nationalism.) They think in extremely stereotyped ways about minorities, women, homosexuals, etc. They are thus very dualistic- the world is conceived in terms of absolute right (their way) Vs. absolute wrong (the "other" whether African American, liberal, intellectual, feminist, etc.)

Normal distribution would show the rate of psychopaths born to be evenly distributed among the population. But, as we have seen, there is an abnormal nimber of psychopaths among Republicans. There just can't be that many more psychopaths born to Republicans than to anyone else. It has to be learned behavior by people brought up as Republicans. Their immersion in Republican culture and society naturally warps their minds and leads them to think that psychopathy is normal, ordinary behavior. They've been taught that way of thinking as the highest ideal and that it is the only way to deal with the world.

The proof for this is the fact that Republicans agree with and support the leading psychopath of the nation, George Bush. We could deal with and accept this had they come by their psychopathy naturally. But, this adoption of psychopathy as a lifestyle, from the learned behavior of the psychopathy of Republicanism unnaturally increases the number of psychopaths to unacceptable, unnatural levels.

Comment: And such unnatural levels of parasitic and pathological elements can only lead to disaster.

To give you an example, here is a partial description of a simulation game that was organized by Dr Bob Altemeyer, and the results of those who had scored very high on RWA (Right-wing Authoritarianism):

From Environment of Evil

The setting involved a rather sophisticated simulation of the earth's future called the Global Change Game, which is played on a big map of the world by 50-70 participants who have been split into various regions such as North America, Africa, India and China.[...]

Then the facilitators who service the simulation call for some member, any member of each region, to assume the role of team leader by simply standing up. Once the "Elites" in the world have risen to the task they are taken aside and given control of their region's bank account. They can use this to buy factories, hospitals, armies, and so on from the game bank, and they can travel the world making deals with other Elites.[...]

The authoritarian world ended in disaster for many reasons. One was likely the character of their Elites, who put more than twice as much money in their own pockets as the low RWA Elites had. (The Middle East Elite ended up the World's Richest Man; part of his wealth came from money he had conned from Third World Elites as payment for joining his alliance.) But more importantly, the high RWAs proved incredibly ethnocentric. There they were, in a big room full of people just like themselves, and they all turned their backs on each other and paid attention only to their own group. They too were all reading from the same page, but writ large on their page was, "Care About Your Own; We Are NOT All In This Together."

There is one advantage to us for this increase in psychopaths above the expected number among Republicans. Since we now know that the preponderance of psychopaths are Republicans, when they reveal themselves as Republicans, its much easier to identify the psychopaths

Comment: Or those who are easily swayed by psychopathic influence.

among us, to be forewarned, and be prepared to take defensive action.

The Photos...! By Gosh

How can it be they are SO similar? For God's sake! I thought at first both were Bush's photographs, but even after reading that one was Ted Bundy... The first impression was the strongest.

The "Right" Is Actually Controlled By It'S Left Brain By Jgeropoulas

The Republican Party: Voice of the Human Spirit

"The Republican Party emphasizes left-brain ideals like personal freedom and individualism, strength and self-reliance, and justice and order, while tending to distrust subjective right-brain values like emotion, nuance, and empathy for the downtrodden. Just as the left-brain mind controls the right side of the body, the Republican half of American politics is often simply called "the Right," and just as the rational conscious mind is more dominant in men, the majority of men vote Republican. The conscious mind exercises its dominance over the weaker unconscious and, in much the same way, the Republican Party favors the interests of the wealthy and powerful over the less fortunate elements of society. Like the objective left-brain conscious mind, the Republican Party tends to be more adept with external matters (i.e., foreign affairs), but less skillful dealing with the messy subjectiveness of domestic culture. Just as the dispassionate conscious mind distrusts the subjective feelings of the unconscious, so too do Republicans often dismiss feelings of empathy as worthless, referring to them as "bleedingheart liberalism."
The left-brain conscious mind tends to notice details and differences more than patterns and connections. This tells us that it primarily views itself as a whole unto itself, rather than as a part of a larger whole. Always noticing the differences between itself and everything else, it feels separate from, and independent of, the world around it. The Republican Party is a group of people who seem to look at life with this same detached, objective perspective, elevating the rights and privileges of the individual over the needs of the group. Like the left half of the brain, Republicans tend to be more exclusive than inclusive, focusing more on the distinctions and differences between people than on the connections and relationships between them.
Like the conscious spirit, the Right prefers clearly defined distinctions, being uncomfortable with flexibility, subtlety, and uncertainty. Instead of exhibiting faith in unknown matters beyond its control, the Republican Party's sense of security, like the dominant conscious mind, seems to rest more on its own strength, control, and dominance. Republicans often prefer definitive left-brain demonstrations of strength and authority to gentler right-brain expressions of brotherhood, diplomacy, faith, or empathy."

I ponder, is it correct to state that the Republicans have an "objective perspective" when say according to Boris Mouravieff, "we cannot reach the objective except through the medium of the subjective"? When "Republicans tend to be more exclusive than inclusive, focusing more on the distinctions and differences between people than on the connections and relationships between them", 'viewing themselves as a whole unto their selves, rather than as a part of a larger whole', how can they possibly have an "objective perspective"???
